ABOUT PULASKI TECHNICAL COLLEGE
Pulaski Technical College students come from a variety of backgrounds. For most
Pulaski Tech students, college is the natural progression after high school, but
there are also students for whom college is a new concept. They represent their
family's first generation ever to attend college. Special programs and dedicated
faculty members can help these students overcome intimidating circumstances and
barriers. For many, Pulaski Tech can truly be a life-changing experience.
Many people are not aware that Pulaski Tech receives the lowest Arkansas
government funding per student of any Arkansas state college. This is why
Pulaski Tech relies on support from outside donors in order to fully fund its
needs. Your support will go to fund and develop programs, furnish and equip
buildings, and provide scholarships for many deserving students.
Pulaski Technical College provides high quality, affordable and accessible
educational opportunities at the freshman and sophomore level through associate
degree and technical certificate programs, a college-transfer curriculum,
continuing education, and industry-specific training to support individual and
community needs in Arkansas. The College mission is to enable individuals
develop to their fullest potential and to support the economic development of
the state.
The college works directly with Arkansas businesses and job creators, ensuring
that their employees remain skilled and competitive in the new global
marketplace through customized training at the Pulaski Technical College
Business and Industry Center. Within the last year, almost 9,000 employees from
Arkansas businesses and industries acquired new skills that have increased their
productivity. Improved skill levels and academic achievement mean a higher
income and better home life for students, as well as a substantial boost to
local industry and business economy.
