ABOUT UA - PULASKI TECHNICAL COLLEGE

University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College (UA – PTC) provides access to high-quality education that promotes student learning and enables individuals to develop their fullest potential.

Many people are not aware that UA - PTC receives the lowest Arkansas government funding per student of any Arkansas state college. This is why UA – PTC relies on the generosity of outside donors to fully fund its needs. Your commitment to our deserving students makes it possible for the college to develop competitive academic programs and provide scholarships. The golf tournament is the primary fundraiser for the P.G. & Melanie Bradford Scholarship; all proceeds generated go directly to student scholarships.

REMEMBERING P.G. BRADFORD

Phillip Gray Bradford (P.G.) September 17, 1948  -  February 1, 2007 - was a 1967 graduate of Little Rock Central High School, where he lettered in track and field as an outstanding hurdler. He attended the University of Central Arkansas where he continued to excel in the hurdles and was member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity.  He earned a bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Organizational Management from John Brown University in 1998. P.G.’s worked at Pulaski Technical College with his best friend, Russell Mathis. He had earlier careers in the fiberglass industry and he proudly served in the Arkansas Air National Guard for nine years. His greatest success in life was in being an exemplary husband and father.  He married his high school sweetheart, Melanie, in 1970. The couple has three sons whom they delighted in raising.

P.G. is best remembered for his perpetually cheerful spirit and sense of humor which he shared selflessly with those around him. One could not help but being lifted up and encouraged when in his presence. 

His request to you would be to live your life in joy, with gifts of your time, laughter, love, and encouragement to all you know.
