Artissimo!
Fine Wine. Fine Food. Fine Art.
Artissimo! has been one of Pulaski Technical College Foundation’s largest annual fundraisers through the years, however, you may have heard of it under its former name, “Business of Art.” With the recent opening of beautifully-designed and popular Center for Humanities and Arts, we wanted to give our event a much deserved “rebirth” similar to the art explosion during the Italian Renaissance.
Fine Art
Artissimo! is not in the dictionary; it’s not even a word in the Italian language. But if it were, it would be defined as a “celebration of all things art.” Where our former event highlighted silent auctions that focused on visual art items, this year we are taking it to the next level. We will feature and auction off items that run the gamut of the creative process – music, film, dance, performance art, painting, sculpture, photography, creative writing, calligraphy, body art, printmaking and architecture to name a few.
Our silent auction will also include unique “art experience” packages – spend the day with a local artist watching them create in their studio, take a guitar or photography lesson, win a performance from a musical group or spend an afternoon throwing pottery with a potter.
Fine Wine and Fine Food
In addition to appealing to all your creative senses, we also be tempting you with fine Italian antipasto prepared by our Culinary School staff and students. From caprese to cannolis and bruschetta to focaccia, we will be serving it alongside a selection of fine Italian Wines. You’ll be yelling, “Artissimo!” before the night is over!
What does this benefit?
All monies raised at Artissimo! will be matched by the Windgate Foundation to create an endowment that will support the Center for Humanities and Arts at Pulaski Technical College.
